The inside of the gauge is filled with silicone oil which allows to use it under severe conditions accompanied by vibrations and pulsations. Why Liquid Filled?

The liquid filling dampens vibration, mechanical shock, and pressure pulsations, enabling easier pressure readings.The liquid filling eliminates corrosion, moisture penetration and icing due to the ambient atmosphere.The liquid filling lubricates all moving components, dramatically reducing wear of the movement.

How to choose the right scale range?

The user must ensure that the appropriate pressure gauge has been selected in terms of scale range and design. The scale range is optimally selected when the operating pressure lies in the middle third of the scale range.

Instructions of a pressure gauge vent plug:

For ≤300 psi pressure ranges, gauges require some type of vent valve, compensating membrane, or other mechanism for pressure compensation. Otherwise, changes in ambient temperature such as direct sunlight would distort the measured pressure. (No compensation is necessary in gauges with >300 psi pressure ranges, as the pressure built up inside the case is negligible in relation to the full scale range.)All pressure gauges sealed for the purpose of liquid-filling have a device to assure atmospheric compensation. To correctly vent the solid rubber fill plugs, simply cut off the tip of the plug which will open a small hole through so the gauge can vent. Only for mounting the gauge in a upright position.

Brass and Stainless Steel wetted parts for measuring non-corrosive liquid pressure. Such as water, oil, fuel pressure test. Compatible with fuel pressure regulator, inline fuel pressure tester and etc.
Circular dial is enclosed in a 304 stainless steel case for corrosion resistance. Liquid filled inhibits pointer flutter and prevents damage to the internal mechanics from vibration and pulsation. Freeze Resistant: Silicone oil ensures long-term work in low temperature(-40~140℉/-40~60℃) and suits for most outdoor conditions and seasons.
