Installation Steps:
1. Pre-installation preparation: Confirm that the bolts, gaskets, and catalytic converter/exhaust pipe interface dimensions match; turn off the vehicle and allow it to cool to room temperature; operate in a well-ventilated area; wear non-slip gloves and safety glasses; prepare a socket wrench, torque wrench, rust-preventive lubricant, and wire brush.
2. Old parts removal and cleaning: Loosen the old catalytic converter connecting bolts, remove the old bolts and worn-out gaskets; use a wire brush to clean impurities and rust from the exhaust pipe and catalytic converter interface, ensuring the interface is flat and free of debris.
3. Gasket and bolt installation: Precisely place the new sealing gasket in the center of the interface (without misalignment), align it with the catalytic converter and exhaust pipe mounting holes, and manually tighten the new bolts to ensure the catalytic converter is centered and has sufficient space to move relative to the vehicle body.
4. Precise tightening: Use a torque wrench to tighten all bolts (avoid applying force on one side, which could deform the interface); do not use sealant (high temperatures can easily decompose and clog the catalytic converter).
5. Final inspection: It is recommended that this be performed by a professional technician; those without repair experience should not attempt to install it themselves
