How to Choose 850nm or 940nm Infrared Flashlight?

‌The main differences between 850nm and 940nm IR flashlights are Wavelength, Radiation Intensity and Power Consumption, Red Burst Phenomenon, etc.

Wavelengths: 850nm and 940nm indicate that the wavelengths of infrared rays are 850 nanometers and 940 nanometers respectively.Radiation Intensity and Power Consumption: The radiation intensity of 850nm is about 2-3 times that of 940nm, so the brightness of 850nm is higher.Red Burst Phenomenon: 850nm infrared rays will have a red burst phenomenon when used, that is, red dots can be seen when the infrared light is on, while 940nm infrared rays will not have a red burst phenomenon.

To sum up: If you need higher brightness and radiation intensity, you can choose 850nm;

if you need to hide the light source, 940nm is more suitable.
